established the domain config.com in January of 1994 to develop,
promote, and serve commercial and consumer Internet services! Over the
past decades, we've also been able to help both profit and 501 C3
non-profits with reliable state of the art web hosting services,
Electronic Marketing (now called Search Engine Optimization or SEO) and
in 1999 became an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to serve our local
North East Ohio communities which three fourths in our own communities
were long distance to the large Internet access companies. In 2004,
config.com became a National ISP with an International small to medium
business commercial client base for E-commerce and we're still looking
forward....
We experienced a network service interruption on two of our three facility circuits, both of which were Road Runner. The problem has been resolved.
We are now planning to migrate the servers effected to our Ohio.Net AT&T circuit on Friday and expect service to be interrupted long enough to change IP's on each of the machines.!
In a nutshell, Two of the three circuits we have in our office are Road Runner and I put an order to terminate one of them back in November. They finally got around to completing the order, but instead of terminating just the one, they shut them both off by accident. Bureaucracy at it's worst with two different departments at two different locations whom didn't communicate properly.
Tim is working on upgrading several of the config.com servers to FreeBSD 8 and adding another 2 GB memory on a.ns.config.com cache-a.ns.config.com mx1.config.com and the ETA is about 2 hours.
